Prayer Book

A kind gentleman contacted me about his mother’s prayer book, which has come upon some tough times. The red leather spine had fallen away, and some over-gluing caused one of the front pages to tear severely. It’s bad for stability, and sad for the paper.

With some cleaning and added tissue, I managed to secure the spine back in to place without needing to replace the original cover. And through a treatment of soaking and pasting, the original damaged tissue looks good as new!

He’ll be able to keep this special book with him in full working condition for many years to come.
