In addition to binding journals and paper repairs, I play with paper in more unusual forms. Part of my job responsibilities has been to contribute to the rotating window display. Some handmade additions include:

  • Mushrooms in a nest

  • Origami hearts strung up as garland

  • Flowers, both oversized and more realistic

  • A beehive, with fuzzy bumblebee adornments

  • Though not paper, I’ve also experimented with wrapping rocks with my waxed bookbinding thread. Just using what’s around me.
